Lil' bit about yo maker:
Somewhere in the bangles and big hair 80’s, between Lady Di & Madonna, underneath Hunter S. Thompson books, probably during an episode of Letterman: a creative arts student emerged.
NYU may have educated me, but so did Nickelodeon, Vogue, Lifetime, Bravo!, Discovery Kids, IFC and everywhere else I wrote & produced TV for 20+ years. Okay, are you still with me?
Listen, I know it’s nuts right now and we’re all just barely hanging on. Recently, after some lady surgery, I felt an all-consuming urge to make colorful, wearable, fabulous feeling and joyful jewelry. To take unloved vintage pieces and reimagine them for today. To channel existential rage by using my own hands to create physical, lovely works and be brave enough to share them.
This is my small way* of standing up against fascism, racism, ableism, misogyny and Project 2025. Guys, I’m kinda throwing rocks, pearls & colorful gemstone pebbles at all of them, but I’m hoping they land gently and beautifully on you. And that you carry their vibrant hues and rebellious spirit forward.
To paraphrase another 80s touchstone, John Irving: Keep rocking on past all the open windows.
